For the JRC, the European Union Joint Research Centre in Ispra, a new open position as external consultant is available.
The objective of this contract is to provide technical support to the Food Security Unit provides since 1993 technical assistance and innovative solutions for implementing and monitoring the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), estimating crop yields in Europe and neighbouring countries.
The following knowledge and skills are required:
- Knowledge of Docker technology is essential;
- Knowledge of Linux server operating system with possible focus on cloud environments;
- Ability to containerise common information system stacks, including Apache, Tomcat, PostgreSQL, MySQL, PHP, and Python-based information systems;
- Develop, and design software automation and scripts for cloud and virtualisation technologies;
- Analyse and tune information systems performances.
Highly motivated, experience and ability in working in an international/multicultural environment, and the ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings.
