The JRC D.5 Food Security Unit is involved in research and policy support in relation to the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and food security in general. It also supports the implementation of the Farm to Fork Strategy (F2F) by developing a framework to monitor the transition of the European food system towards environmental, economic and social sustainability. The objective of this contract is to identify new data sources for F2F and develop data processing workflows to produce new indicators to fill the identified gaps.
The ideal candidate is a data scientist with:
- Composite indicators
- Multi-criteria and statistical analysis
- Statistical languages (R, STATA, …)
- As asset, knowledge of sustainability criteria of food systems
Highly motivated, experience and ability in working in an international/multicultural environment, and the ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings.
