Job description

For the JRC, the European Union Joint Research Centre in Ispra, a new open position as external consultant is available.  The ideal candidate will work in the Bioeconomy knowledge centre as a front end developer / graphic designer. The candidate will support the research group providing expertise in the following fields:

  • Strong experience in web-platform design, development and maintenance front-end development (HTML5, JavaScript, Python, CSS3)
  • Experience in designing visually appealing user interfaces and web-based information systems
  • Experience to work with different communication and data visualization tools
  • Willing to work in a busy team where learning new skills
  • Capacity to share the knowledge with the other members of the team
  • Professional attitude and service-oriented attitude
  • Good English verbal and written skills
  • As asset: Specific experience in graphic design and related specialized software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator). Experience with Content Management System (CMS) management and with web-analytics

Highly motivated, experience and ability in working in an international/multicultural environment, and the ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings.
